It is an honour and privilege to be selected as club Captain for the coming 2009/10 season. On behalf of all members of Old Crescent RFC, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all visiting teams and supporters to Rosbrien.

We have a young and talented side this season and with the help of our coaches we aim to play an exciting brand of rugby. This season, our main focus is to the return to Div.1 of the AIL. This is well within our reach given the players enthusiasm, dedication to training and determination.

I would like to take the time to thank all our coaching staff and management at Old Crescent RFC and all those involved in the various committees within the Club. Your stewardship is invaluable and ensures the sound future and development of the club. Also, a special thanks to Yvonne for her much appreciated homemade sandwiches that keep us going on those long bus journeys!

A huge thank you to all our Club sponsors throughout the year, it is your commitment that allows the Club to function to its full potential. It is very much appreciated in these straitened times – and in return would appreciate your support of their business in whatever way you can.

Finally, I would like to thank our incredibly loyal (and vocal) supporters who travel the length and breadth of the country to cheer us on. It means a lot to the squad to have you behind us and we hope to reward your loyalty this season.
