I
am honoured to have been elected President of Old Crescent RFC for this year and
I look forward to the challenges that this position presents.
I
extend a warm welcome
to
all members of Old Crescent RFC,
and
our valued supporters and sponsors, in the hope that this season will be
a
successful and enjoyable one for all of us.
I
wish all our players well in their efforts and I can assure them, on behalf of
the Committee, of our total support during the coming season. Likewise, I wish
our
coaching team, led by Michael Lynch,
well
in their efforts. I have no doubt
that their hard work and dedication will bear fruit in this
season.
Last
year was one of the most
challenging years
in the history of
our club. It
is my hope this season that we will compete strongly in Division Two and that we
will be in contention for promotion at the end of the season.
I am
encouraged by the dedication shown by all involved in Old Crescent RFC at every
level. In that regard, could I ask you, the reader, to take the time some Sunday
morning, to visit our Club grounds at Rosbrien, to see the valuable work being
done by our coaches with the underage players. Observe the coaches dedication,
the number of players involved, and their level of enjoyment. Take this as a
snapshot of what this Club is trying to achieve at every level.
Active participation in sport is essential in today’s society. If you have an
interest in contributing to the Club’s activities at any level, please contact
us. There are many tasks to be done. You will be warmly welcomed. In any event,
please attend the matches and cheer our teams on at every level.
DON O'MALLEY
PRESIDENT.
