Old Crescent RFC was founded in 1947 and has a proud record as a progressive rugby club. The Club has expanded significantly in recent years and has invested heavily in developing our club facilities for members and the wider rugby community.
In 2015 the Club doubled the size of our grounds by purchasing 11 acres of adjoining land and developed two new full size pitches and training areas on this land.
We have also been very successful on the playing fields, and last season went undefeated in winning AIL Division 2B and securing automatic promotion to Division 2A, playing an attractive brand of try scoring rugby.
With over 500 members and catering for all teams, ranging from our Under 5’s right up to our AIL competing senior team, we are always looking at new fundraising activities.
This year we are holding a major Business Breakfast event in the Castletroy Park Hotel on Thursday, 22nd November, with Munster Head Coach, Johann van Graan, and his wife Melissa, as our Guests of Honour.
Johaan and Melissa will share their views on crossing the Equator with a young family to relocate in Limerick, and we will also have some discussion on rugby matters. International referee, Joy Neville, has kindly agreed to facilitate the discussion with Johaan and Melissa.
Our Business Breakfast in the Castletroy Park Hotel on 22nd November will start at 7.30am with breakfast served at 7.45am. The event will conclude no later than 9.00am.
Tables of ten cost €500 or individuals at €50 per head. Contact Liam Keehan 087 0670609 or Peter Doyle 086 3861054 asap for bookings.
